BACHS Choirs are active throughout the year with opportunities for every member who enjoys singing. Below is a list of this season’s events.
Millikin University Vocal Festival
The Vocal Festival is a great opportunity for students (sophomores, juniors, and seniors) to gather for a unique two-day vocal event combining concerts, workshops, voice lessons, and a festival choir experience, interacting with Millikin vocal staff and choral colleagues.
Students are nominated by the choir director and will complete registration for those students to the program, which ensures an equally balanced choir of similar abilities making the festival the best possible experience for all.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
– Festival Choir: 300+ voice festival choir of exceptional high school students
– Vocal Coaching Lessons with Millikin’s exceptional voice faculty
– Directors Choir- Grand Finale Concert.
BACHS: Community Christmas Sojourns
As the title suggests, the BACHS choirs will visit locations throughout Bloomington/Normal to spread the gift of music.
Locations could include Retirement facilities, Hospitals, Expos, and Christmas-time community events.
The choir directors will post the schedule of times and locations on the calendar page once details are solidified
BACHS: Celebration of Christmas Concert
The Celebration of Christmas choir concert features all choir members at all age levels (Treble, Cantate, and Concert Choirs).
The annual Christmas concert is free and open to the public and is normally held on the Thursday or Friday of the first full week of December.
BACHS: Annual Spring Concert
The annual Spring concert, which features the Treble, Cantate, and Concert Choirs, is free and open to the public and is normally held on the Friday of Memorial Day week.
All three choirs are made up of homeschooled students from many locations throughout Central Illinois. (Cantate choir is paused for 2022/23)
Doors open at 7:00 p.m., and seating is open to allow families and friends to gather & enjoy a wonderful evening of music.
